Moly is an essential resource in Hades II, as it allows you to unlock certain tools and weapons at The Crossroads. Here’s how to get Moly in Hades 2 and how to use it.
Where to find Moly in Hades 2 – location
Moly is found in Erebus in Hades II. It spawns randomly, meaning you can’t go to a set location and expect to find some every time. Instead, it will appear on the ground as you explore Erebus. You’ll know you’ve found it when you see a yellow flower with a glittering blue glow – it’s very hard to miss. Interact with it with RB on controller or E on keyboard to pick up the Moly.
Moly, though somewhat rare in Erebus, is a treasure you should never pass up. Finding the greenery resource is a case of luck, but it is worth gathering up each time you see it. Even if you don’t have an immediate use for it, I’d recommend picking it up whenever you come across some, especially in the first few hours of your playthrough.
How to use Moly in Hades II
One of the immediate uses for Moly in Hades 2 is to unlock the Night’s Craftwork Incantation at the Cauldron in The Crossroads. This makes Gathering Tools available at the Silver Pool, which, in turn, unlocks new materials for you to gather. For example, once you unlock the Crescent Pick, you can mine Silver, which is used to unlock certain Main Weapons.
You’ll also need 2 Moly, alongside 2 Ash and 1 Silver, to unlock the Fated Intervention Incantation at the Cauldron. So, again, it’s a good idea to pick up any Moly you see because you never know when you’ll need it in the future once you’ve progressed further in your game.
Hades II Early Access is available now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
