How to propose to your partner in My Time at Sandrock

First, you must reach the “Lover” relationship level with the character you wish to marry. Spending time together on dates and giving gifts should help you reach this milestone. Before you can pop the question, though, you’ll need to upgrade your Workshop to at least level 5.

To get married in My Time at Sandrock, you’ll need to gift your chosen character an Engagement Ring. You can do this either during a date or by choosing the gift option during any conversation. The Mysterious Man (pictured below) also sells engagement rings when he visits Sandrock on the 20th and 21st day of each season. This is the only current way to get the item, so go ahead and grab one when you see him.

If your partner accepts, you will be considered married immediately. Curiously, Pen is the only character you can date but will always reject a marriage proposal. If you so choose, you can have a wedding ceremony either immediately or within seven days of the proposal.

After the proposal, your new spouse will move into your workshop and assist you with your daily chores. The abilities and number of tasks they can perform depend on the character. Your spouse will also send you gifts and will give you one on your birthday.

It’s important to note that while you can date multiple characters in the game, you can only marry one of them. If you successfully propose to one character, your other romantic partners will automatically lose their romantic status immediately.

My Time at Sandrock is now available on the PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
