With just a few weeks before the major 4.0 Genshin Impact update, we still have much to do and discover. Now that characters such as Fontaine will be easier and faster to get, why not make the best out of this summer and get Layla while we are at it? (That is, of course, if you live in the Northern Hemisphere.) Otherwise, there’s a big chance you are freezing over right now. (Thanks, Southern Hemisphere winter.) Anyway, let’s have some fun and earn a free Layla during the Genshin Impact Secret Summer Paradise event.

Play Some Mini-Games, Gain a Free Copy of Layla in Genshin Impact
To get a free copy of Layla in Genshin Impact, you will have to partake in the Secret Summer Paradise event and collect a total of 1200 Fascinating Phenocrysts. This event started on July 5, 2023, and will last until August 16, 2023. During it, you need to play several attractions that will reward you with said Phenocrysts.
Before you get to play the attractions, you will have to complete the following event quests: “An Invitation From Afar!” and “Mirage Paradise in Crisis.” You will have to do some puzzle-solving, so prepare yourself beforehand.
Once completed, you will be able to play the following attractions to collect the Fascinating Phenocrysts at the Secret Summer Paradise event:
- Spino Blaster: A “shoot the targets” mini-game. Shoot Balls to gain points. Some Balls such as the Nemesis or Overdrive Balls get more points than the regular ones.
- Sojourns of the Barking Fox: Take control of the Barking Fox and follow along a course to collect all the Adventure Coins you can. You will get some Superman 64 vibes on this one but don’t worry, you get decent controls this time around during Secret Summer Paradise.
- Dance of Flashing Thought: Defeat waves of enemies within a time constraint. Collect Honed Will to obtain the Honed Focus effect. This will give you a variety of buffs depending on the stage. Before the challenge, you can alter your party’s composition to best suit the stage characteristics.
- Bing-Bang Finchball: This will be a tabletop game (maybe they oversold the game with such a title?). You will have to fire a Finchball into the red zones of the board, yielding the best points. You get to choose the starting point of the Finchball, its angle, and the initial speed. Calculate these values precisely to earn the most points possible.
Each of these mini-games will feature several stages that will reward your performance, granting you an increasing number of Fascinating Phenocrysts. Continue to play these games ,and you will eventually gather the 1,200 Phenocrysts to get Layla in Genshin Impact for free, along with other rewards that include Primogems and Mora.
Genshin Impact is available now on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS. The Secret Summer Paradise runs until August 16, 2023.
