Where to find Hero Tokens in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Hero Tokens are the rarest component in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, possibly rivaled only by Rare Tech Parts. As a result, the scarce crafting item will likely be the last thing you gather for most suits and upgrades. However, you can get the rare component in Spider-Man 2 through specific side missions and activities.

A list of the methods you can do to earn Hero Tokens can be found here:

  • Mysterio’s Mysteriums
  • The Flame and Cultural Museum side mission line
  • FNSM app requests.
  • Hunter Bases
  • Symbiote Nests
  • Fully completing districts

Mysterio’s Mysteriums are your earliest place to grind Hero Tokens. Completing combat challenges will award you anywhere from one to four Hero Tokens, depending on how you score in the mini-game. Hunter Bases are unlocked by completing multiple Hunter Blinds but are essentially stealth missions that yield Hero Tokens. Lastly, players unlock Symbiote Nests near the end of the story. They require you to set and defend sonic charges to take out the nest.

The side-missions and app requests vary in length but also have the highest payout of Hero Tokens. Also, completing side-missions and other extras in each district will increase completion progress. The final reward for each district in the city is two Hero Tokens.

Most upgrades in the game require Hero Tokens to reach the highest tiers. They can stop progress dead on Suit Tech and Gadgets while you scramble to collect more. Therefore, You’ll always want to keep an eye out for opportunities to snag some Hero Tokens.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now available exclusively for PS5.
