How to Get Frost Damage Kills in MW3
Frost damage kills are quite confusing in this game since none of the attachments for your weapons in the Gunsmith offer anything to help get them. Fortunately, there are two ways to get frost damage kills in MW3 Zombies for your camo challenges. It, ultimately, comes down to how you want to approach this issue.
The first method is to use the Cryo Freeze ammo mod. This equips onto your weapons in the game and allows you to fire off frost bullets at your undead enemies and eliminate them. The other method is Frost Blast, which is a field upgrade that deals frost damage and even slows down enemies caught in its blast. However, the catch with Frost Blast is some players note on Reddit that it doesn’t always count towards their challenges, which may be a bug.
How to Find Cryo Freeze and Frost Blast in MW3
If you want to use the Cryo Freeze ammo mod method, you’ll have to find it in a Zombies match. I recommend heading to the medium or high-tier regions noted by the orange and red circles. There, you can either look for Cryo Freeze in the supply crates or complete contracts. Unfortunately, this is completely random. It can take quite a bit of time to find the Cryo Freeze ammo mod.
As for the Frost Blast, this is much easier to use. All you need to do is head to the “Gear” tab under Zombies. Select your field upgrade and change it to Frost Blast. Then you just need to activate it once it’s done charging in battle. Make sure to use it while a group of zombies are near you for the best chance at multiple frost damage kills.
