Payday 3 features various systems that play into the online multiplayer heists players can embark on. One such element is Favors, which is a type of asset item players can bring as part of their loadouts in the game. Unfortunately, the game does a pretty bad job at explaining how to get Favors in Payday 3, so I’m here to help.

How to get Favors in Payday 3

First and foremost, unlocking new Favors in Payday 3 requires the player to do one of two things. The first option is to buy them directly from the in-game store. Head to the Vendors section in the main menu in between heists and choose the Gage Arms Dealer store. Here, you can buy the four core Favors for $10,000 each.

The alternative way to get Favors in Payday 3 is a bit more random. There are heist-specific Favors you can get but these seem to drop randomly for each player in various matches. The percentage for these to happen seem quite low, so it is best to have a stock of Favors on hands that you can equip and take with you in every heist you do.

What do Favors do in Payday 3?

The reason why Favors are so valuable in this game is because they ensure you have a bag that drops on the map to give you supplies. The unique random Favor drops have different bonuses they offer the player, but the ones you’ll see most often are the four you can buy at the store. Here is what each of these Favors do:

  • Ammo Bag: The bag that drops in the heist map will offer various ammo to replenish your weapons.
  • Armor Bag: This bag includes several armor plates so you can restore your armor more easily.
  • Medic Bag: This one includes various healing items for health.
  • Zipline Bag: This is one of my favorites, dropping a bag with a zipline. This makes zipping across the map and escaping much easier.

Payday 3 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
