The main way to get Dream Solvent in Genshin Impact is by completing Weekly Bosses in Trounce Domains and using Original Resin. The special item has a 33% chance of dropping, so it’s a complete luck of the draw. As if that wasn’t scarce enough, you can only take on each Weekly Boss once per week.
HoYoverse also gives players a few additional options to score the rare level-up item, such as special quests in the main story that can only be completed once. Here’s every way you can earn Dream Solvent in Genshin Impact:

Dream Solvent locations in Genshin Impact
Depending on how far you’ve progressed in the story, you will technically have eight chances per week to try to score Dream Solvent. There are a total of seven Trounce Domains and one standalone Boss. The following Bosses can drop Dream Solvents:
- Andrius: Wolf of the North Challenge – Wolvendom, Mondstadt.
- Dvalin: Confront Stormterror – Stormterror’s Lair, Mondstadt.
- Childe: Enter the Golden House – Golden House, Liyue.
- Azhdaha: Beneath the Dragon-Queller – Nantianmen, Liyue.
- La Signora: Narukami Island Tenshukaku – Tenshukaku, Inazuma.
- Mikoto: End of the Oneiric Euthymia – Tenshukaku, Inazuma.
- Shouki: Joururi Workshop – Chinvat Ravine, Sumeru.
- Guardian: The Realm of Beginnings – Desert of Hadramaveth, Sumeru.

To use Dream Solvent, interact with an Alchemy table found in any major city. Once inside the crafting bench menu, select the ‘Convert’ tab and select any 5-star level-up material you want to exchange.
Dream Solvent is generally used to convert Weekly Boss drops into a specific level-up material you need for a character. For example, if you are trying to build the best Kokomi Weapon build, you may need to use Dream Solvent to level up the Hydro user’s Talents past level six.
