Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless brings back the classic Cheat Shop, a place where players can directly affect the progression of the game in terms of XP, money, and mana rates. But you will need more cheat points (CP) if you want to manipulate the gameplay to your liking. Here’s how to earn CP in Disgaea 7 for the Cheat Shop wares.
How to unlock the Disgaea 7 Cheat Shop and earn CP
First and foremost, you want to make sure you have the Disgaea 7 Cheat Shop in the first place. You can unlock the location in the hub area as soon as Episode 2. Once you reach the second chapter, you have access to the Dark Assembly NPC. At the Dark Assembly, one of the options you can unlock in the game is the Cheat Shop for 100 mana. I had just enough for it when I first unlocked the Dark Assembly.
Beware that you only have a percentage chance of successfully convincing the Dark Assembly to vote for the Cheat Shop, so you might want to save beforehand in case it fails. You can “bribe” the members by giving them spare items and equipment you have before the vote. However, there’s no guarantee the people there will like what you have on hand.
How to earn CP for the Cheat Shop
Once you have the Disgaea 7 Cheat Shop, you can start earning CP and changing different aspects of the game. How it works is you have 100% by default for experience, mana, money, weapon mastery, special skill XP, and class proficiency. You can lower one, such as money, to gain CP to then boost another, such as changing XP to 110%.
At the start when you unlock the Cheat Shop, you’ll have strict limits to how much CP you can earn. Initially, you can only lower each option to 90%, netting you a max of 10 CP per option. To increase these limits, you’ll need to continue through the various episodes of the story.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
