How do I get new outfits in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

There are four ways of getting your hands on new outfits in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. They are as follows:

  • Buying the DLC with real money.
  • Completing Wonders.
  • Purchasing them from Van’s Shop.
  • Taking on and finishing certain Bulletin Board requests.

What are the DLC outfits in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

If you purchase the Seasonal Outfits Set DLC for Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, you gain access to four outfits:

  • Spring Cow-digan.
  • Summer Raincoat.
  • Autumn Aviator Jacket.
  • Winter Peacoat.

The Seasonal Outfits Set DLC costs $3.99 USD / £3.29 GBP on the Steam Store, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, and Microsoft Store.

To unlock the DLC outfits, interact with the blue storage box outside of your house. The Harvest Sprites will notify you that they’re available to equip at your mirror in your house.

There are three other DLC outfits, all of which are no longer available or were only available as a pre-order bonus in Japan:

  • Mukumuku Outfit.
  • Pumpkin Patch Pants.
  • Red Happi Coat.

How do I get outfits by completing Wonders?

There is one outfit tied to Wonders in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life: the Sprite Outfit. Putting it on will make your character look like a green Harvest Sprite.

To obtain it, you must have triggered the fourth Harvest Sprite cutscene by collecting 10, 20, 30, and 40 Wonders and viewing their corresponding cutscenes. You’ll then get the fourth by leaving your farm between 10 AM and 8 PM, but only while Gustafa is in his Yurt.

With the fourth Harvest Sprite cutscene unlocked, collect 50 Wonders by completing various activities throughout Forgotten Valley. You’ll do this naturally as you play, and you probably have a fair few done already. Once you’ve unlocked 50 Wonders, you’ll get a cutscene upon leaving your house, where the Sprite Outfit will be gifted to you.

Which outfits can I buy from Van’s Shop?

On the 3rd and 8th of each month, Van will visit Forgotten Valley to set up shop in the Plaza. And if certain requirements are met, he will sometimes sell a new outfit for your character. These are:

  • Wonder-Fur Life: Costs 500 Gold. Available Spring 3, Year 1.
  • Summer Blue: Costs 1,000 Gold. Available Spring 3, Year 1.
  • Classic Autumn: Costs 1,000 Gold. Available Autumn 3, Year 1.
  • Denim, Denim, Denim: Costs 3,000 Gold. Available Spring 3, Year 2.
  • Dark and Mysterious: Costs 5,000 Gold. Available Autumn 3, Year 2.
  • I Love Bears: Costs 10,000 Gold. Available Spring 3, Year 3.
  • Green Boots: Costs 50,000 Gold. Available Spring 3, Year 4, after accumulating 40 Style Points.
  • Striped Sweater: Costs 100,000 Gold. Available Autumn 3, Year 4, after accumulating 20 Style Points.

For the Striped Sweater and Green Boots, you’ll need to have a certain number of Style Points. To earn one Style Point, look in the mirror in your house, or change your character’s appearance. This means you’ll have to do these often to have the 40 needed by Year 4.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to track your Style Points in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, so the only indicator you’ve met the requirement for the outfits is whether they appear in Van’s Shop or not.

Which outfits can I get from Bulletin Board requests in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?
