How to Unlock Arcana Cards in Hades 2?

The meditation altar is where you manage your Arcana Cards, which can be found right as you enter the training area of the Crossroads. You should unlock it after you return to the Crossroads after your first death and can interact with it by pressing R1, RB, or E, depending on your preferred control method.

Once in the Arcana menu, you can unlock new cards simply by selecting them and pressing confirm, providing you have enough resources to do so. The main resource you will need is Ash, but unlocking all cards in a row or column will expand the grid and reveal new cards, some of which will require rarer materials like Cinder or Pearls.

Once unlocked, you can equip and unequip cards by selecting them the same way, although you can only equip cards up to your Grasp Limit.

Where to Find Ash location in Hades 2.

The main way to obtain Ash in Hades 2 is through room rewards in the Erebus region, which is the first area you will visit. Before you enter a new room, you can see what reward you will obtain displayed on the door, and you can choose accordingly. Ash is represented by the same swirl of sand icon seen in the Arcana menu.

There are alternative ways to obtain sand, including by purchasing it from the Wretched Broker for 15 Bones a piece. Bones can similarly be obtained from room rewards and a few other methods, but can be spent on a number of other resources too. Unlocking the Wretched Broker requires you to complete the Incantation “Summoning of Mercantile Fortune” for 10 Bones, after which it will appear downwards and to the left of the Crossroads cauldron.
