What are Ancient Civilization Parts used for in Palworld?

Ancient Civilization Parts are a unique crafting material in Palworld. They are used for items unlocked through the Ancient Technology column of the Technology tab. These items include an Egg Incubator and the Pal Essence Condenser, both of which allow you to obtain more Pals. The Egg Incubator will allow you to hatch eggs that can be found around the game’s world, while the Pal Essence Condenser allows you to breed or enhance Pals.

These unique items also require a different method to unlock. Unlike other Technology recipes, which are unlocked with the points you obtain by leveling up or unlocked Fast Travel points, these require Ancient Technology Points. Luckily, those points are obtained in the same way as the Ancient Civilization Parts.

Where can I find Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld?

The only way to obtain Ancient Civilization Parts is to fight boss Pals. There are three types of bosses within Palworld: roaming bosses, dungeon bosses, and tower bosses.

The roaming boss Pals can be found wandering the game world. These are the large Pals you might find that have large health bars at the top of the screen when you approach them. They will also appear on the map with special icons, which makes them easier to spot.

The dungeon boss Pals can be found in dungeons. You can find these hidden around the world, usually marked with a large dark cave entrance in the side of a cliff. These dungeons contain various Pals and human enemies and end with a large version of Pal accompanied by its standard siblings. These dungeons usually contain additional resources. Note that dungeons aren’t permanent and will eventually disappear after between three and four hours.

Finally, the tower bosses are the ones you fight within the Syndicate Towers that act as the game’s main objective.

Defeating one of these bosses will reward you with Ancient Technology Points and Ancient Civilization Parts. The number may vary depending on the boss, but generally this should give you enough of both to unlock a recipe and build the item at least once.

Palworld is out now in Early Access for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
