When it came time to get a Chocobo in the Grasslands and Junon region in FFVII Rebirth, there were World Intel quests that led to you figuring out how to get them, but the Corel region around Costa del Sol works differently. Here’s where and how to get one right after leaving Costa del Sol.
Where and how do I get a Chocobo in Costa del Sol in the FFVII Rebirth Corel Region?
Okay, so the thing here is that there’s no obvious Chocobo ranch or World Intel in the Corel Region map like we see in other parts of the game, which might make someone wonder where one is or how to get one in FFVII Rebirth after leaving Costa del Sol. If you’re really racing to tackle the first Remnawave Tower just south of the resort town, you might even pass by the place you’d need to go to pick up your fine feathered friend. This time around, there’s no quest tied to it. You need to pay for the right to access a Chocobo.
I marked exactly where you need to go on the map below:
Immediately at the entrance to Costa del Sol, right when you’re heading out to the Corel region proper, you’ll pass a Chocobo Tack Shop and see a pen with some birds. This is the region’s Chocobo ranch. Scroll to the Buy section in the shop menu and select it. The first item in the list is the Rent-a-Bird Membership for 300 gil. Buy it.
That’s it! You’re set! You can then walk up to a bird in the pen next to the Chocobo Tack Shop and start riding. Or, as usual, you can press the R1 trigger to summon it to your side while you’re in the Corel region.
