Okay, I’m going to be frank. The Wayshrines fast travel system in Fae Farm is annoying as hell. You don’t automatically unlock the ability to teleport between spots when reaching an area for the first time. You need to have a Seal Crafting Station and have unlocked access to the areas with certain gemstones to mine, then make seals, in order to unlock the ability to travel to one of those spots. Even then, you can also only use a Wayshrine pedestal once you’re actually at that spot to teleport.

How to activate and use Wayshrines to fast travel in Fae Farm

So first, you need to build the Seal Crafting Station and start getting various gemstones to make seals for the Wayshrine pedestals to fast travel in Fae Farm. Fortunately, the four initial ones all use items from the Saltwater Mines. The Homestead point to the west of your house needs a Peridot Seal, the one to the west of the Spooky Woods requires a Topaz Seal, the West Town one just to the west of town needs an Aquamarine Seal, and the one just above the Saltwater Mines requires a Citrine Seal.

In the case of each seal, you’ll need 5 Copper Ore, 5 Iron Ore, and 15 “Rough” versions of the gems. That means it’s the version you mine, without refining it in any way. So the Peridot Seal, which will be the first one you can make due to Rough Peridots being so plentiful in Saltwater Mines, needs 5 Copper Ores, 5 Iron Ores, and 15 Rough Peridots.

As there’s no clear in-game map, beyond the one showing vague regions, I can’t provide exact locations for each Wayshrine pedestal for you. However, the rule of thumb is that every location has one. It’s a good idea to forge the various gem seals as soon as you’re able and keep them in your bag so when you do find one, you can pop the seal in to unlock it while you’re there.

Fae Farm is available for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
