It’s easy to get around in Octopath Traveler 2, especially since fast travel unlocks in the game so swiftly. As every place is connected by actual roads and areas, rather than there being a more traditional JRPG world map, it could be a long time to get from one place to the other without it. In short, all you ever need to do is reach a place once.
How Do You Fast Travel in Octopath Traveler 2?
Let’s use Throne as an example. Her story starts in New Delsta. This means that right away, it is unlocked as a fast travel point. One of the next nearest cities is the town of Flamechurch. If you head north to it, it will unlock as one of these points as well. So then someone could bring up the main menu, choose “World Map,” and then select New Delsta as a place to teleport to.
Keep in mind that this only works for cities. You can’t teleport to dungeons or other, smaller areas. However, even if a town is small or abandoned, as long as there is an inn there, it seems to be a place you can quickly hop to in the game.
