How to unlock Fast Travel in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

You must complete side missions to unlock Fast Travel in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In the sequel, New York is now divided into fourteen Districts. Each section of the city needs to be leveled up by completing quests before you can start warping to them.

Once you earn enough experience points, Fast Travel is unlocked as a District tier two reward in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, this means you have to progress each section of the city to its second tier to access all Fast Travel points within the game.

Below is a list of activities you can complete in each District to unlock Fast Travel points:

Marko’s Memories

Marko’s Memories appear on the map as a crystal icon and are a side mission in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that has you defeating a wave of Sandman enemies. Walk up to the red crystal in the overworld to start the combat sequence. After defeating the clones of Sandman, you will need to interact with the crystal and break it in half. The Marko’s Memories side mission will net 400 XP towards your District progress.

The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Photo Op feature is a side mission in which you take pictures of iconic locations throughout New York City. To complete these, head to the green camera icons on the map and take a snapshot at the location. To access photo mode, swipe up on your Dual Sense touchpad. You will need to aim your camera lens until it turns green and then take a photo of the quest’s subject matter. Photo Ops will earn you 150 XP towards your District progress.

Criminal Activities

Unlike other side missions, Criminal Activities are randomly generated as you web-sling around the city. Simply travel around the District you are trying to progress and look for a red exclamation mark. Once criminal activity has been reported, head to the location and deal with the incident. Criminal Activities usually consist of taking down a wave of enemies or jumping on top of a getaway car to stop it.

FNSM Requests

As you progress your District, unique FNSM Requests will unlock, which appear as blue Spider-Man mask icons on your map. These are usually story-based side missions. In my game, I unlocked an FNSM quest in Little Odessa after reaching District level tier one. The mission had me saving a handful of citizens who had become injured after playing with fireworks.
