To evolve Overqwil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to level up a Qwilfish that knows the move Barb Barrage. After catching a Hisuian Qwilfish in Pokemon Indigo Disk, you can trigger its evolution into Overqwil using a specific method in your Boxes menu.
Below are the steps to evolve Overqwil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:
- Catch a Qwilfish in the lakes of the Polar Biome in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC.
- Press the X button on your Nintendo Switch and click “Check Summary” on the Qwilfish in your party.
- Hit right on your D-Pad once to access the “Moves and Stats” page for Qwilfish.
- Press the A button on your controller, and then go to “Remember Moves.”
- Select the Poison-type move, Barb Barrage, and have your Qwilfish remember it.
- Now that your Qwilfish has Barb Barrage learned, level it up once with XP or a Rare Candy to trigger its evolution into Overqwil.
