How to get Dragon Cheer in Indigo Disk Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
To evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple, you must obtain the Dragon Cheer TM, a new move exclusive to the Indigo Disk DLC. Once you have arrived at the Blueberry Academy, progress the story by meeting Lacey in the Coastal Biome. After you complete the tutorial class, Carmine will call you on your Rotom phone and ask to meet up.
Following this cutscene, you will be asked to join the Blueberry League, which is the school’s Elite Four club. As soon as you are signed up to the League, you are free to tackle Elite Four in any order. Head North on the map to the Winter Biome and complete Drayton’s Elite Trial to unlock the Dragon Cheer TM move needed to evolve Hydrapple.
To complete Drayton’s Elite Trial, you will need to defeat three trainers using Pokemon that have specifically been caught in the Blueberry Academy’s Terrarium. Yep, it’s as challenging as it sounds. If you haven’t been catching Pokemon on your journey across the terrarium, you will need to pick up a few Pokemon to overcome this challenge.
Below is a list of each trainer’s Pokemon you will have to face off against, their type, and weaknesses:
Craig (the student to the far left)
- Rampardos – Rock-type (weaknesses: Fighting, Ground, Water, Grass, Steel)
- Bastiodon – Rock / Steel-type (weaknesses: Fighting, Ground, Water)
