How to turn on Fall Damage in Spider-Man 2

Enabling Fall Damage in Spider-Man 2 is a fairly straightforward process. To begin, press the options button on your controller to bring up the pause menu. Once on this screen, head over to the settings tab. After selecting settings, look for the gameplay settings among these choices.

Scroll down within the gameplay settings menu until you reach the Swing Assists category. Here, you will find the Fall Damage toggle. Simply switch the toggle to the “on” position to turn Fall Damage on. If you want to disable the feature, you just have to return to the same option and switch it to “Off.” You can toggle this setting as often as you’d like.

Why enable Fall Damage in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Enabling Fall Damage doesn’t significantly affect the game’s difficulty. It does add a layer of amusement and realism to your web-swinging, though. It’s undeniably entertaining to witness Miles Morales and Peter Parker tumble and bounce like basketballs when they leap off the Avenger’s Tower.

For those seeking a touch of realism and the sheer joy of watching your favorite web-slingers encounter the laws of physics, leaving fall damage enabled is an option. However, the flexibility of the toggle allows players to opt-out if they prefer a less bumpy journey through NYC.

In the end, it’s all about personal preference. Whether you choose to activate Fall Damage for the sheer thrill of seeing your heroes bounce or keep it off for a smoother ride, Insomniac’s thoughtful inclusion of this feature caters to both camps of players.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
