Korra from the Legend of Korra has made her debut in Fortnite, and to unlock her you will need to complete a handful of quests. This guide will explain how to emerge from water in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 so you can unlock the water-bending Avatar.
How do you emerge from water in Fortnite? – Korra Battle Pass quest explained
One of the first quests you must complete to get the Korra skin in Fortnite asks you to “emerge from water.” While this might sound simple on the surface, players have reported that the task can be a little buggy. Not to mention, the quest itself is kind of vague with what it’s actually asking you to do. Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered!
To emerge from water in Fortnite, you need to dive under any lake of water on the map, and jump out of it using the game’s “dolphin dive” mechanic. While you can technically swim underwater and then jump into the surface, some players are having trouble getting the quest to trigger unless they use the game’s “diving” feature.
Here are the steps to emerge from water in Fortnite:
- At the start of the match, hop out of the Battle Bus and aim for a large body of water.
- As soon as your character lands in a lake, swim in the water.
- While swimming with momentum press “X” (PlayStation) or “A” (Xbox) to dive in the air and under the water. Chain this by pressing the button again to emerge and dive out of the water.
- The Emerge from Water quest should then trigger as complete in Fortnite.
You can also just dive under the water and then come back up. But if your game isn’t counting this, then use the diving mechanic to dive under and then jump out of the water. This is what worked for my game, and I was able to complete the Fornite Chapter 5 Season 2 quest quickly.
For completing the Emerge from Water Fortnite quest, you unlock the new “Korra Wallpaper” which was illustrated by Irene Koh. More importantly you will have step 1 out of 4 completed on Korra’s quest page. You will now only need to complete three more quests to unlock the Korra skin in Fortnite.
