How do I download the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC?
First and foremost, you want to make sure you know how to download the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk DLC, so you don’t waste any time once it drops. To do this, there are technically two parts you need to worry about. The first one is, of course, actually downloading the DLC onto your Nintendo Switch console.
Head to the Nintendo eShop and look for The Indigo Disk DLC there. You can easily find it as an option at the bottom of the Pokemon Scarlet or Violet game page. Double and triple check you are looking at the The Indigo Disk for the game version you have, as it will not work otherwise. You can also buy it via selecting an option in-game, which assures you’re getting the version you need.
Once you purchase and download the DLC, then you need to wait until the update drops at release time. Manually update your game then by press the + button and then searching for update from your Nintendo Switch main menu.
Indigo Disk DLC release time explained
The Pokemon Company hasn’t officially announced the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC release time, but we can figure out when it might appear based on The Teal Mask DLC. The official release date for the new add-on is set for December 14, 2023. However, some places, such as North and South America, will have access to it starting on December 13, 2023.
If the release time follows The Teal Mask, The Indigo Disk release should be around 10am JST. For North America, that is around 8pm EST/5pm PST. (Be sure to adjust the time for your time zone.) Whenever that time comes around, try to manually update your game to the DLC patch. If it updates, you are good to go to start playing.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The Indigo Disk drops on December 14, 2023.
