As you explore Mount Wieland in Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg, you’ll come across Flammpfeil. It is a giant red dragon that is tough to defeat if you don’t go in prepared. Here’s what you need to know to emerge victorious.

Flammpfeil has a beefy 750 HP, meaning you’ll need to bring the firepower to take it down. When I faced the dragon, my team was around level 30 and we struggled, so I wouldn’t recommend you and your party members be any lower than that.

Before you travel to Mount Wieland, make sure your party is equipped with healing items. Spinach is a good choice, as not only does it heal an ally for 25 HP, but it also temporarily raises their defense. You can purchase them from Aula at the Academy in Salburg for 10 coins apiece.

For MP restoration, stock up on Golden Salmon. You can catch them at Strudel Falls in the Spring and Summer seasons or defeat Wirbel to obtain them. Golden Salmon restores 30 MP to an ally per use.

Also, ensure that you bring damage-dealing items, just in case you run low on MP and can’t afford to use Skills. My go-to was Spirit Glow, which costs 6 MP to use in battle and deals 155 magic damage. You can make one using a Rain Stone, Distilled Water, and a Blue Neutralizer.

Once Flammpfeil is defeated, you’ll obtain a Dragon Fang (which you need for the “A Man’s Promise” Vital Quest) and a Dragon Tongue for your efforts.
