Magical Delicacy will require you to discover new locations and craft new items to progress through the plot. Ember and Mist Tincture are two essential items, as brewing these potions will allow you to travel to a new location on the map, where you will find Tauno, a key figure in the over-arching plot for Magical Delicacy.
Before you can consider making these potions, you will need to complete “The Apprentice Assessment” quest from Cassie. After completing this quest, you will gain a new magical ability that will allow you to conjure up a mist that will propel you further in the sky when you try to reach a ledge that is very far away. Also, after completing the aforementioned quest, the cauldron will become available to purchase at the blacksmith store in the Central Plaza, which will be needed to brew these potions.
How do I make Ember Tincture in Magical Delicacy?
The Ember Tincture has four key ingredients: Faecap, Flower, Salty, and Roasted. Feacaps can be found by traversing the map and picking up the natural ingredients of the land. It may take a few in-game days to find a Faecap, but you will eventually come across one. I tended to see it in more grassy terrain areas.
The same goes for the flower component of this potion. Picking up ingredients from the land is your best bet. I used a Dandelion, which is the most common flower you will come across in Grat. Remember, if you ever want to see the classification of an ingredient, go into the menu and look at your ingredients section, which will list every item’s attributes.
I recommend buying Sawtooth Kelp at the Aquafarmer Hunts to get an item that hits the “salty” criteria. If you are unsure where the store is, go down the staircase from the Central Plaza until you reach the Harbor. Jump up to the stairs, then drop down to the lowest level, and enter the new area on the right. In the new room, navigate the platforms and go right; you should run into the store in the next section. The Sawtooth Kelp will cost you 12 red beads.
Lastly, we cooked a Scarlet Tomato in the oven for the roasted ingredient and turned it into a Roasted Tomato. However, you could use many other vegetables and cook them instead. The best place to get vegetables is at Victor’s Vegetable Stand in the Upper Market.
Use the cauldron at night and put all four ingredients mentioned above, and you will get an Ember Tincture Potion in Magical Delicacy.
How do I make Mist Tincture in Magical Delicacy?
The Mist Tincture has four essential ingredients: Fragant Oil, Amber Algae, Flower, and Ground. Fragrant Oil is a crafted item that requires you to make it separately, but it is relatively easy to craft. To make a Fragrant Oil, you will need Ground Kernel and Flower. You will need to buy Semborn Kernel from Aki in the Upper Market (he is right next to Victor’s Vegetable Stand), go back to your store, and grind the Semborn Kernel into Ground Kernel by using the mortar and pestle. After you have a Ground Kernel and a Flower, use both ingredients in the oven to create the Fragrant Oil.
Aquafarmer Hunts sells Amber Algae for 15 red beads, and getting the Flower ingredient will rely on you searching nearby environments once again. The last component for the imbued potion will require you to get something that has been ground. I suggest getting Braided Wheat from the bakery and grinding it with the mortar and pestle to turn it into Wheat Flour.
As with last time, use the cauldron with the four ingredients at night, and you will craft the Mist Tincture.
Where do I use The Ember and Mist Tincture Potion?
After successfully creating both concoctions, you will want to place them on a mantle on the map to reveal a new pathway. To reach the spot from the Town Hall in the Upper Market, go to the right, drop down from the staircase, and go right until you find a dead end. Use the recently attained mist jump to propel yourself upwards, navigate the platforms you’ll land on, and go right. Then, you will reach what appears to be a sacrifice mantel. It will ask for both potions. Place the Ember and Mist Tincture, on each corresponding place, and a new path will be revealed to you.
Magical Delicacy is now available on the Xbox One, Xbox X/S and PC via Steam, and the Switch version launches in August 2024.
