As you near the end in Final Fantasy XVI, you’ll get to see sidequests such as “More than Words” that let you connect with characters like Torgal one last time. This is one of the more brief examples. However, it’s a rather heartfelt one and worth it if you’d like another accessory to make your canine companion stronger.

“More than Words” begins in Final Fantasy XVI with Charon once again writing Clive due to being concerned about Torgal. This means to take the quest, you’ll need to be at the “Back to Their Origin” storyline mission, check Clive’s Missives at the hideaway, then meet with Torgal and Charon at the hideaway to discuss the situation.

This is genuinely a straightforward situation that offers insight into Torgal’s life with Clive, his time without him, and generally remembering what once was. After the discussion, you’ll need to head to the Rosaria map and go to Port Isolde. There’ll be a boat you can take to an entirely new location, which you’ll only get to visit one time for this sidequest. (Don’t worry, there are no missable items here. It’s all just a story segment.)

After Clive reconnects with Torgal in “More than Words” in Final Fantasy XVI, you’ll get a handful of rewards. You get 5,600 EXP, 30 renown, a Charred Sparring Sword curiosity to display in Clive’s room at the hideaway, and a Cavall’s Fang +1 accessory that can be equipped to increase Torgal’s attack potency.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. A demo is out now as well. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
