The Matchmaker Requests in Moonstone Island are a series of quests all about taming Spirits for your fellow villagers. Each villager has a Spirit they would love to have as their companion, and it’s your job to track them down.
Which Spirit does each villager want in Moonstone Island?
Due to the randomised nature of the various islands in Moonstone Island and the spawn rates of different types of Spirits, the Matchmaker Requests for villagers may take a while to complete. However, Spirit types always appear in appropriate islands, so the general advice is to keep exploring islands of that type until the desired Spirit shows up.
Here are each of the Spirits you need to complete each Matchmaker request:
- Paolo – Oaken – Earth – Walking tree with a flat face
- Tobin – Snorcko – Water – Yellow lizard with a blue snorkel
- Waldo (Magic Man) – Fishbo – Water – Fishbowl with legs
- Gaiana – Emoshroom – Poison – Redcap mushroom with a fringe
- Ossono – Capacibee – Electric – Round bee
- Zed – Armbot – Electric – Metallic robot with noodly limbs
- Quill – Sheemp – Fire – Sheep with brown wool
- Ferra – Beardini – Psychic – Pink bear with a white beard and tiara
- Cleo – Wolfbane – Dark – Resembles a floating wolf
- Ofelia – Any Ice Spirit
- Rowan – Any Spirit
Depending on your choices at the start of the game, it’s possible to already have one of these. Both Capacibee and Sheemp are available as starters during the tutorial. They are both still available as normal spawns though if you can’t bear to part with your earliest friend.
The toughest Spirits to obtain are Beardini and Wolfbane. Being a Psychic Spirit, Beardini can only spawn during a Psychic Storm, an event each night that affects a single random island somewhere on the map. This is easier if you’ve unlocked the Cauldron through Alchemy Requests and can make a Psychic Sight Potion, otherwise you’re hopping from island to island in hopes the storm spawns nearby.
Wolfbane is tough because it’s a Dark Spirit. These only appear on a limited number of Dark islands on the very edge of the map, and Spirits here are an exceptionally high level. It’s likely this will be the last Matchmaker Request you fulfil.
What are the Matchmaker Requests rewards in Moonstone Island?
Each villager provides a different reward for completing their Matchmaker Requests. If they run a shop, they will offer a free product from the shop in exchange, while others will provide recipes or other rewards. Here is what each villager offers in return.
- Paolo – unlocks the Loom recipe
- Tobin – unlocks a new Hook in his shop
- Waldo – free Talisman from his shop
- Gaiana – free plant from the shop
- Ossono – free daily coffee from the tavern
- Zed – unlocks the Beacon recipe
- Quill – free beer on Fridays from the tavern
- Ferra – unlocks the Enhanced Furnace recipe (reduces waiting time on making Ingots)
- Ofelia – free plant from the shop
- Cleo – gold
- Rowan – Dancing Shoes
