Starfield’s “Entangled” main mission is one of the most unique in the entire game. I would even say that it’s my favorite in the main story. In this mission, you come across a distress signal in the Freya System near the planet Freya III. You have to uncover what is happening here and pick between three possible options.

Can You Save Everyone in the Starfield “Entangled” Mission?

Editor’s Note: There will be story spoilers below.

The Starfield “Entangled” mission only presents two core endings, but there is secretly a third one. Yes, it is possible to save everyone in this mission and not just pick between the sides of Rafael or the other members of the Nishina Research Station.

This is the best ending and it gets you all of the rewards from both parts at the same time. For this reason, I’m going to focus on helping you to get this ending since it is unequivocally the best option for every player.

How to Complete “Entangled” in Starfield and Get the Best Ending

Here are the steps you need to do to complete “Entangled” and get the best possible ending once you land at the Nishina Research Station:

  1. Talk with Ethan Hughes, head of security when you enter the facility.
  2. Follow Ethan and, when teleported to the other parallel universe Silent Hill-style, defeat the alien creatures.
  3. Continue following Ethan to the director’s office.
  4. The game will continuously switch you between the two universes, but continue forward.
  5. Meet Rafael in the destroyed universe.
  6. Talk to Director Patel when you return to the regular universe.
  7. Meet with Maria and learn about the distortions.
  8. Return to Director Patel.
  9. Switch between universes to progress through the lab and find the Particle Lab keycard.
  10. Use the keycard to shut down the lockdown in the Accelerator department.
  11. Grab the next keycard and continue switching universes to stop the Storage lockdown.
  12. Find the Lab Control computer in the ruined universe.
  13. Set the calibration to 24GHz.
  14. Return to the normal universe and set the calibration to 40GHz.
  15. Go back to the ruined universe and set it to 24GHz again.
  16. Head to the nearby Primary Calibration Control to the left of the artifact you need and use it to bring together both universes.

This is the optimal ending, since it allows the lone survivor Rafael to reunite with the others in the normal universe. You also get all of the rewards this way from both endings, including the Legendary Incendiary Advanced Experimental Spacesuit, Experimental Helmet, Rafael as a potential crew mate, 17,000 credits, and 800 XP.

Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X/S and PC.
