Some quests in Persona 5 Tactica play out more like large puzzles, causing some headache while figuring them out. The second quest in the game is actually that kind of a problem, so here’s our guide to completing the “Stealing Classified Info” quest in Persona 5 Tactica.

How does “Stealing Classified Info” work?

This is a side quest that opens up after getting Panther, Oracle, Skull, and Noir back in your party. You can pick it up in the Le Blanc hub. It requires you to cross a single map with Erina, only ending when she reaches the other side. The kicker here, however, is you only have one turn to do it. This means she has to move several turns worth of distance in a single turn.

Don’t worry though, by using strategic critical hits to get 1-More’s, we’re going to be able to clear that distance. You don’t need any wild setup, and the rest of your party doesn’t matter. We aren’t actually fighting any of these enemies. We’re only using them for critical hits.

A hit is critical if it’s on an enemy out in the open. Attacking an enemy who had their cover broken by a physical attack also results in a critical hit. This downs the enemy and awards you a 1-More, allowing you to move and attack as if you got another turn.

Pay attention when you select your targets. If the text on an enemy reads “get em” before you attack, then that attack is going to result in a 1-More. If Erina lands a single attack that doesn’t result in 1-More, it’s over. I’m sorry, but you have to restart.

However, there is a solid guaranteed strategy to complete the “Stealing Classified Info” quest in Persona 5 Tactica

How to use critical hits to cross the map in “Stealing Classified Info”

The quest starts with Erina in the middle and one part member each on the left and right sides of the stage. To cross the map, Erina has to get four 1-More’s in a row. First, move Erina forward and attack the enemy standing directly ahead of her for her first 1-more.

Move Erina forward as far as she’ll go, then switch to the party member on the right. Line them up behind the two enemies there and physical attack so it knocks both down into the pit where Erina is. I took a screenshot to show the proper positioning.

Don’t switch back yet! First, jump down to the next area with the enemy surrounded by boxes. Go ahead and physically attack him to break his cover.

Now switch back to Erina. Attack the enemy that dropped that isn’t already “downed.” Remember to look for the “get em” text before you attack. Doing so gives you another 1-More.

Erina’s next target is the enemy behind the boxes. Position yourself so her skill can reach him, then use the 1-More to move as far as you can go.

Now swap to the character on the left. Go as far as you can, pass the enemy standing on the ledge. Don’t physically attack them, instead get some distance past them and use a Persona skill to hit them at range. Make sure it says “get em” first. You can see the proper position in the screenshot I took below.

Then use the 1-More gained to walk a little ahead and knock the enemy standing there down, right in front of Erina. Finally, swap back to Erina. Use a gun attack on this final enemy and the last 1-More to close the remaining distance.

Persona 5 Tactica is set to release for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2023.
