The Find Grandpa Spider-Man 2 mission is an FNSM quest that can be found in the Downtown Brooklyn District. While walking under the archway near the hot dog stand, Spider-Man will encounter a woman desperately looking for her grandpa.

You can locate the Find Grandpa FNSM quest on the map below:

After speaking to the NPC, Spider-Man will be given a photograph item. The piece of evidence is supposed to give you a hint as to where her missing Grandpa Earl may have traveled to. After examining the picture, your in-game map will mark the next location you need to travel to.

Here is the exact location you need to go to next after looking at the photo item in the Find Grandpa Spider-Man 2 quest:

Once you have arrived at the marked map location, you must use Spider-Man’s powers to track down another clue. You can do this by holding the L2 button down on your Dual Sense controller. The next item you need to find is a letter, which can be found on top of a flower planter that has two police officers standing to the side of it. After reading the letter, the game will mark the next location you must walk to on your map.

After arriving at the second location, you will need to find Grandpa’s inhaler which is next to the park bench in the area. Once you have analyzed the item, Spider-Man will try to track Earl’s scent with a science puzzle. This is by far the trickiest part of the Find Grandpa Spider-Man 2 quest.

To complete the puzzle, you need to destroy the red corrupted atoms. The trick here is to only click on the red atoms if a yellow orb is attached. If a green atom is connected, it will be destroyed, and you will have to start over again. You will also need to click on the yellow atoms in certain areas of the strand. However, be careful because yellow spots in the puzzle destroy up to two nearby atoms simultaneously. So, for example, you will want to click a yellow atom with a red atom on each side of it, as it will eliminate all three at once. The puzzle will be finished when only green and yellow atoms are left.

Once you have solved the atom puzzle, a scent trail will appear in the overworld. Follow the white smoke across the area, eventually leading you to the missing Grandpa sitting on a park bench next to a lake.

To complete the Find Grandpa quest, simply walk up to the missing NPC and have Spider-Man sit next to him on the bench. Earl will now tell a heartbreaking story about his wife. It would help to have some tissues nearby because the scene is a real tearjerker.

If you have unlocked Fast Travel in the Downtown Brooklyn District, starting the Find Grandpa quest will only take a few seconds. However, you may need to progress through the story a bit before the FNSM quest appears on your map.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
