The Spring Temple is one of four temples in Moonstone Island hidden among the many islands that float around your home. Here you can obtain the Earth Seal, an item of great plot significance. However, navigating through it requires a set of specific items that may not be obvious to get, followed by a tough boss fight.

Where is the Spring Temple in Moonstone Island?

While most of the islands in Moonstone Island are randomly generated, the temples are always in the same place. The Spring Temple is easy to find, as it is immediately to the west of your home island. You can reach it even when you only have a balloon.

Head to the northwest section of Moonstone Island and float directly west. You can spot the temple as it is a huge tree at the top of a staircase.

Where Do You Find the Spring Temple Items in Moonstone Island?

There are three altars in the Spring Temple that you need to leave offerings at. The items required are listed on each altar.

For the entrance altar, you will need a Cat Tail and Stonefruit. These are both easy to find, as they are crops that spring up on most Earth islands, including Moonstone itself, during Spring. The Stonefruit is a brown turnip-like vegetable, while the Cat Tail is the reed found in bodies of water.

The first level altar inside the temple requires a Copper Ingot and an Iron Ingot. This will require you to do a bit of mining for Copper and Iron Ore. You will also need to build a Furnace at home, which will require 10 Wood and 10 Stone. Once you have each Ore, you’ll need to combine three of them with a Coal in the Furnace to make an Ingot. Do this for each type.

The second level altar requires Clay and Moonstone. Moonstone is an essential item for many things in the game, and one can be found somewhere on each island per season. You can also obtain some from dungeon treasure chests or buried treasure marked by the maps dotted around the world.

Clay is a trickier item to obtain, especially as it isn’t immediately obvious where you find it. You will need to build a Spirit Barn, which requires a Moonstone Enchanter to build. Once you have one, you’ll need to keep at least one Earth Spirit in the barn and keep it fed. Eventually you’ll be able to pick up a Clay from it.

How Do You Defeat the Spring Temple Boss in Moonstone Island?

The boss of the Spring Temple is a Level 10 Wildwood. This is an angry tree who calls in allies to protect it which may give you a hard time.

You won’t be able to touch the Wildwood until you remove the Longlogs first. As soon as they’re gone, it will use its next turn to call more Longlogs. This means you need to take out the Wildwood’s armor as quickly as possible on your next turn, as this will disrupt the summoning for another turn and allow you time to break its health bar down.

Moonstone Island is available now for PC. A Switch version is in development.
