Assassin’s Creed Mirage features a large open world to explore around the Baghdad area, and you can use your horse or other mounts to traverse the map faster. Once you reach Baghdad early in the game, you get your first mount in the form of a camel. Though it is cute and surprisingly swift, you might want to know how to change your ride to a horse in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

How to buy a horse in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Like past games, you can buy new mounts in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. To do this, look on your map for an NPC with the horse head symbol. There are several of these stable NPC traders throughout the world, but you may need to synchronize at one of the viewpoints in the world to uncover the nearest location.

Head to the closest trader, and you can buy a horse there for a handful of Dirham currency. Note that there is no statistical difference between horses and the other mount options; they are purely there for appearance purposes.

How to swap your mount in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Once you purchase a new horse or other mount in this game, you can switch to using it instantly from the trader you bought it from. The same stable NPC not only lets you buy horses from them, but you can equip whichever mount you want from there as well. This is the only place to do this, as you can’t switch mounts in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage inventory screen.

Once you have your mount equipped, you can summon it anytime by holding down on the right D-Pad button on your controller for a few seconds. There are some places where you will be unable to do this.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC on October 5, 2023. An iOS version will also be released in 2024.
