There are quite a lot of customization options in Hello Kitty Island Adventure to change your appearance and clothes. However, there’s no tutorial going over how to adjust your look while you’re in the game. You aren’t locked into the species or style you start out with. Fortunately, all you need to do is open your bag or visit a spot with a mirror to switch things up.

How to change your appearance in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

If you want to change your avatar’s appearance in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you need to visit a building with a mirror in it. In the Resort Plaza area, where the game begins, there are two stores with one in them. One is Tuxedosam’s clothing store, and the other is My Melody’s furniture shop. You’ll see them on the wall with a clothes hanger in front of it.

After interacting with the mirror, you’ll initially be on the page to change your character’s clothes. What you want to do is tap the “body” button. This allows you to change your species, face shape, eyes, mouth, highlights, and color scheme. It is especially useful for that last one, as befriending Sanrio characters will get you color options based on them.

If you want to change your clothes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, it is much easier to do. You can head to a mirror to switch up your look. However, you can also click your bag from the main screen to check your inventory. If you click the shirt tab to see your clothing, you’ll also see a “wear” button for each item. Clicking that immediately puts that item on your character.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available for Apple device and Mac owners via Apple Arcade.
