What is the best Sorcerer build for Diablo IV Season 1?

When Diablo IV first launched back in June 2023, I recommended that players use the Sorcerer Arc Lash build on their Eternal Realm character, and not much has changed in Season 1. Arc Lash should be your focus for Sorcerer, but there are a few changes based on tweaks to the class made by Blizzard developers since its release.

While Arc Lash will be your main focus, this Sorcerer build also relies on the other elements, so don’t be afraid to spend your Skill points on Frost Nova and Flame Shield too.

Which Sorcerer Skills should I pick in Diablo IV Season 1?

I recommend spending your Skill Points on the following Skills:

  • Arc Lash
  • Enhanced Arc Lash
  • Glinting Arc Lash
  • Charged Bolts
  • Enhanced Charged Bolts
  • Destructive Charged Bolts
  • Teleport
  • Enhanced Teleport
  • Shimmering Teleport
  • Ball Lightning
  • Enhanced Ball Lightning
  • Wizard’s Ball Lightning
  • Unstable Currents
  • Prime Unstable Currents
  • Supreme Unstable Currents
  • Frost Nova
  • Enhanced Frost Nova
  • Mystical Frost Nova
  • Ice Armor
  • Fire Bolt
  • Flame Shield

And go with these buffs and passives to enhance your Skills:

  • Elemental Attunement
  • Protection
  • Align the Elements
  • Static Discharge
  • Shocking Impact
  • Inner Flames
  • Devouring Blaze
  • Overflowing Energy
  • Convulsions
  • Coursing Currents

Which Aspects should I use in my build?

To take your Sorcerer build in Diablo IV Season 1 even further, choosing the right Aspects is essential. I’d recommend the following:

  • Aspect of Static Cling: Charged Bolts last 300% longer and have a chance to attach to enemies.
  • Aspect of Control: You deal more damage to enemies effected by Freeze, Stun, or Immobilize.
  • Aspect of the Expectant: Using your Basic Skill increases Core Skill damage.
  • Aspect of the Bounding Conduit: Gain a temporary movement speed buff after using Teleport.

Diablo IV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Season of the Malignant starts on June 20, 2023, and runs for three months. If you’re wondering about the best Necromancer build for Season 1, here’s what you need to know.
