The first phase of this fight is pretty laughable. One bonus is you now have Toshiro and his brand new Persona Ernesto as a companion! He joins you as a fourth guest character, meaning you can bring your whole party in to the fight still.

Shadow Toshiro will be surrounded by a barrier at the beginning of the fight. The only person who can break the barrier is Toshiro, so focus on attacking with him while the rest of your party takes on the other enemies.

Every turn, more enemies will come, but they’re pretty manageable. After Toshiro breaks Shadow Toshiro’s barrier, focus all your attacks on him. If all four party members land attacks, you could possibly drain his health in one turn. However, he heals and restores his barrier once you do.

Repeat the process. Once you’ve gotten his health down twice, you’ll get some cutscenes. However, the fight’s not over yet. Shadow Toshiro transforms into a monstrous and deformed Eri Natsuhara for round two.

The second phase is a separate mission, in case you need to save, swap out characters, or move around Personas. I recommend bringing a character with a wide area of attack ability such as Mabufu or Megido. Leave your physical attackers on the bench, as only ranged attacks hit Eri. Makoto and Haru are great candidates to bring, because of their high gun damage.

Her primary attack, Malevolent Bullet, will hit your whole party one by one. This damage is easy to deal with as long as you’re in cover. However, If you need health, Toshiro has the ability Crystal of Rebirth. This puts a crystal on the battlefield that heals nearby allies for three turns.

After a couple of turns, Shadow Eri summons enemies to the battlefield along with a large sphere. You want to take out this sphere ASAP. Luckily, the enemies that spawn next to it are out in the open. Hit both the enemies and the sphere at once with a large area attack for a 1-More. Then, just pop behind them and an all-out attack should clear them right off the board.

Once she’s down to half of her health, she’ll pin down two enemies and prepare to attack them. Simply fire a gun attack from one of your other characters to break the hold. Don’t worry, as they won’t take damage.

Honestly, her attacks aren’t that threatening. Just keep up the pressure and quickly take out any enemies and spheres that get summoned. You’ll beat Shadow Toshiro in Persona 5 Tactica once and for all after you drain Eri’s whopping 5,000 health. Enjoy the lengthy cutscenes that follow, and prepare for the final kingdom.
