How to Beat Lingxuzi in Black Myth Wukong

Unlike Guangzhu, Lingxuzi is a mandatory boss in Black Myth Wukong. At this point, your abilities and spells will be extremely limited. However, Lingxuzi is far from the most difficult boss. (In fact, an optional boss on the way to Lingxuzi will probably give you more of a hard time than this massive white wolf.)

You will know when you’re about to fight Lingxuzi, as the boss arenas are extremely obvious. The wolf will be found in the derelict ruins of a temple, and will make ample use of the space to lunge, charge, and even propel itself off of buildings to attack you.

The best course of action to beat Lingxuzi is to use your Immobilize Spell. You will gain this through progression, so there is no possible way to miss this. Lingxuzi has a very long wind-up to his attacks, and staying close to him will make the fight extremely easy. Attacks don’t track in Black Myth Wukong, so if you bait him to attack in one direction, you can easily dodge to the side and take advantage of this.

However, one of the biggest advantages you can take in this fight is the Guangzhu Transform spell. Not only will this give you an additional health bar while transformed, but you can inflict the Burn status on Lingxuzi, which he is very susceptible to. Using this and your Transform Spell will allow you to beat the white wolf with ease.

And whatever you do, don’t spam your dodge. Just be observant and watch for when Lingxuzi will attack and time your dodges. Black Myth Wukong gives players a brief moment of invincibility during a perfect dodge that also spawns a clone. You’ll know when this happens because of an audio cue and a slight slow-down. Spamming your dodge will do you no favors in any fight, and the Destined One will actually take a second or two to regain his composure after the third dodge. So time them carefully, and keep this in mind when tackling any boss, not just Lingxuzi.

Black Myth Wukong is available for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X.
