How to add a second Building to your Plot in Palia

Creating a second building, or housing structure, on your plot can allow you to decorate an additional space or even make a dedicated crafting room. Not that any of this is necessary, but it’s a nice option to have. Especially if you intend to keep your main building small. However, acquiring that second building will cost quite a bit of Gold and maybe even a bit of Renown.

You can place a second building on your plot so long as you have expanded your plot. This doesn’t mean unlocking additional plots but extra space on the plot itself. This is done through Writs which can be purchased in the Kilima Village City Hall. Just interact with the cash register to obtain Writs, and to obtain additional fixtures or rooms for your structures.

Writs can be purchased for 55 Renown. Renown is super easy to get and can be done by fulfilling villager requests or by providing other players with items they’ve requested. (You can see what items other players request by going to the Friends menu and selecting the Requests tab.)

Now, getting a second building will cost 15,000 Gold. You will want to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the City Hall Store to select “Harvest House.” You need to purchase this and not another room. If you purchase a room, it can only be added as an extension to an already-built Harvest House.

You will also need to have gotten the Achievement “Housing Expansion II,” which is done by unlocking additional space on your plot with Writs. Additionally, every time you purchase another Harvest House, the price will increase by 5,000 Gold.

Keep in mind this is for adding a second building to a plot in Palia. This is not about creating a second plot that can be done and unlocked through progression.

Palia is available for PC and will be released for the Nintendo Switch on December 14, 2023.
