Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new campaign with the Phantom Liberty DLC. However, you will need to unlock the expansion first before you can jump into the new storyline. Here is how to access the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077.
How do I start the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077?
To access the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077, you will need to start the Dog Eat Dog quest line with a save file that has progressed the main story campaign far enough, or you will need to start a new character. If you have already been playing Cyberpunk 2077, you will need to have completed the Voodoo Boys quest line in Act 2 of the campaign. Once you have passed this point in the story, you will receive a call from an unknown caller named Songbird while exploring the overworld.
After you pick up the call from Songbird, you will automatically receive the Dog Eat Dog quest, which is the start of the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077. The mysterious caller will ask you to travel to Dogtown in Pacifica. Below, I have provided a map that shows the location you need to go to start Phantom Liberty DLC in the Dog Eat Dog quest:

Once you pull up to the Dog Eat Dog quest marker, you will be tasked with finding Songbird. Hop out of your vehicle and walk to the east side of the Dogtown border until you trigger a cutscene of V collapsing to the ground. Songbird will then introduce herself.
Songbird will ask you to sneak into Dogtown. You will need to enter through a garage by jumping into a nearby dumpster. The trash bin is a bit hard to see at first, so you will need to walk up to it until you see a prompt to hop inside. After you exit the other side, you can now enter the garage after disposing of the two guards standing outside of it. Despite the game asking you to go stealth, it doesn’t actually matter here. Once you enter the garage, you will have kicked off the Phantom Liberty DLC.
The second way to access the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077 is to start a new game. Yep, it’s really that simple! CD Projekt RED has given players the option to jump straight into the expansion with a new character. To do this, go to the main menu and select the New Game tab. Once here, you can click the Skip Ahead to Phantom Liberty button to start the DLC right away.
If you decide to start a new character to access the Phantom Libery DLC in Cyberpunk 2077, your game will automatically open up with Songbird calling your phone to start the Dog Eat Dog quest. However, it should be noted that your character will already be level 15 and come pre-equipped with a selection of weapons and skills unlocked.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The Phantom Liberty DLC will be released on September 26.
