Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded is now here with plenty of new updates and changes to the game. One of the most impactful and surprising changes in MW3 and Warzone is the new perk equipment item known as the All Terrain Boots, which can be a little bit confusing.

All Terrain Boots Replace the Climbing Boots

First and foremost, what players need to know is the Climbing Boots are now gone. They no longer exist at all in MW3 and Warzone alike. Instead, they are replaced by the new All Terrain Boots.

For this reason alone, players need to be sure to double-check all of their custom loadouts. It is likely your loadouts are much different now. Either the game will automatically replace the Climbing Boots with the All Terrain Boots or you’ll need to do it manually.

How to Best Use the All Terrain Boots in MW3 and Warzone

How the All Terrain Boots work in MW3 and Warzone is they are similar to their previous versions. It appears the previous boot stats carry over. For instance, your climbing and mantling speeds will be faster with these. However, in addition, all of your movement speed will be much faster with these boots.

This does come with a trade-off, though. You no longer have a tactical sprint with these boots on. This is a huge change because tactical boots are an essential part of the game. However, I find these All Terrain Boots make up for the loss and are the best option right now in both games.

The best way to use All Terrain Boots is to couple them with Dead Silence. This field upgrade lets you silence all of your movement, so you stay quiet and can maneuver with ease. This is essential in Ranked Play, Battle Royale, and everything else.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
