What is the Palworld Base Limit?

Creating multiple bases in the game is almost necessary, as you will eventually need quick access to higher-quality crafting materials. For example, if you want to farm coal in Palworld, you will want to build a new base in the area where it spawns. However, as you continue to create more camps, you may be wondering how many bases you can actually have in Palworld. After spending 80 hours in the game, we have the answer for you!

You can only have up to three bases in Palworld simultaneously. Unfortunately, the game caps you at this number, and you are currently not able to build anymore. We’ve also checked in the game’s World Settings, and there doesn’t seem to be an option that lets you increase this at the moment. However, they may increase the cap in a future update.

How to get more Bases in Palworld

Before you rush out to build a second base, you must level up first. That is because the number of bases you can build must first be unlocked through character progression. Below are the levels you need to reach:

  • Level 10: You can build a second Base.
  • Level 15: You can build a third Base (this is the maximum amount).

How to move Bases in Palworld

Unfortunately, stored items do not carry over between bases. Making this sting even more is that you must physically carry items to the new base. Having one of the flying mounts in Palworld can speed up this process dramatically. However, if you don’t have one or even a ground mount, you will need to walk on foot.

The best way to set up your bases in Palworld is to have one central home camp where you will live. The other two bases should just be farming operations with minimal structures. So you will need a workbench, a handful of chests to store the resources, and not much more. In my game, I would assign three Mining Pals to these locations and one transportation Pal. That way, they are constantly obtaining the resources and putting in my chests.
