How many Acts are in Diablo IV?

There are six Acts in Diablo IV‘s main story, as well as a prologue and epilogue. They are as follows:

  • Prologue: Wandering
  • Act I: A Cold and Iron Faith
  • Act II: The Knife Twists Again
  • Act III: The Making of Monsters
  • Act IV: A Gathering Storm
  • Act V: Secrets Bartered, Fates Sold
  • Act VI: Dance of the Makers
  • Epilogue: From the Wound Spilled

Acts I to III are the meatiest, with the last three being faster-paced as the game’s narrative ramps up and comes to a head.

How long does Diablo IV‘s main story campaign take to complete?

According to Diablo IV Director Joe Shely in an interview with GameSpot, the campaign is “a 35-hour experience that is just brimming with story and characters that are really human and you can really connect with on an emotional level.”

If you’re anything like me, though, you’ll be dipping your toes into side content along the way, meaning you’ll undoubtedly have way over 35 hours before Sanctuary’s storyline wraps up. Especially if you’re attempting a Hardcore Mode playthrough or are playing on a harder difficulty.

Diablo IV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you’re wondering who voices Lilith, Daughter of Hatred, here’s what you need to know.
