Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty features a brand new ending for V and Johnny Silverhand’s storyline. If you play through the DLC, you can see a new conclusion. (It has its own positives and negatives, in my opinion!) If you already beat the base game or are just wanting to see this new ending, here’s what you need to do to unlock it.

Note: There are full spoilers for the Phantom Liberty DLC ahead.

I’ll try to be as vague as possible below to describe what you need to do to get this new ending in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC, but keep in mind you don’t automatically get this new conclusion. You have to fulfill certain steps, so there will be some spoilers below.

The route to unlock this new ending via Phantom Liberty begins when you reach the end of Act 2 of the DLC. You’ll have to side with Songbird when the big choice happens. From there, wait or sleep through a few in-game days. Once this is over, you’ll get the new mission called “The Killing Moon.”

When you get to the end of the mission, take Solomon Reed’s side. Wait for some time again and Solomon Reed will contact you for the ending to begin. This will give you a new ending for V and Johnny Silverhand.

Without getting into it, just beware this ending is very different from the other ones in the base game. I highly recommend making a separate save before siding with Songbird during the first step at the end of Act 2. This will allow you to change things and choose another ending in the game if you don’t end up liking this conclusion to the story.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
