Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Airdrop Events are a new type of side content you’ll find in the brand new DLC. These world events shake up the new area of Dogtown and are only available there. Think of them as being similar to the random fights you’ll find between police and criminals in Night City, but with a much more structured style.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Airdrop Events Explained

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Airdrop Events happen randomly throughout the region of Dogtown. Once you get past the initial first few quests with President Myers in the DLC, you’ll unlock the ability to freely roam the area after you complete the “Lucretia My Reflection” mission. One of the new side pieces of content you’ll come across are these Airdrop world events.

Airdrops occur when you hear the plane flying above you or see the red smoke from a drop in the distance. Head to the zone and you’ll find tons of scavengers trying to get the rare weapons, gear, and other loot from the drop. Each Airdrop Event works the same way: you take out the random number of enemies and claim the crate for yourself.

What can you get in Cyberpunk 2077 Airdrops?

These crates are well worth it, since you get randomized but usually excellent items. This is one way to find legendary weapons and some of the new illegal weapons that dropped alongside the Phantom Liberty DLC. You also get great crafting components and other items that you can sell for tons of Eurodollars.

If you want to make a lot of money in this game and earn yourself some new weapons at the same time, I recommend taking on any Airdrop Events you come across. They only take a couple of minutes to complete each one once you get into the hang of it.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
