Hololive Vtuber Sakamata Chloe took to social media to announce she will be taking a break. The performer noted she’d caught COVID-19 and will be taking time to recover.

Here is Chloe’s official announcement. She reported that when she went to the doctor, her fever was at 39.3°C. That’s almost 103°F. It was then revealed that she had caught COVID-19. She also reported that she will be taking time to recover and is taking medicine.

Prior to the announcement on January 4, 2024, she had previously noted she wasn’t feeling well. On January 3, 2024, she noted her fever had hit 37.8°C (~100°F). 

Chloe didn’t note if this will affect her participation in the Hololive New Year Cup. That is a yearly Mario Kart tournament starring members from various branches of the company. It is expected to start on January 7, 2024, and she is scheduled to be in Group C competing alongside performers like Aki Rosenthal, Calliope Mori, IRyS, Kureiji Ollie, and Ouro Kronii. 

Sakamata Chloe is a Hololive Vtuber who is part of the Secret Society holoX sixth generation. Her gen mates are Hakui Koyori,Kazama Iroha, Takane Lui, and Laplus Darkness. She regularly streams on YouTube and both plays games and sings. She’s also a part of the Hololive UMISEA unit alongside Houshou Marine and Gawr Gura.
