Hololive Store Adds April Fools’ Super Idol Comet Chan, Yagoo Merchandise

On April Fools’ Day 2023 in Japan, Hoshimachi Suisei “debuted” as Super Idol ☆ Comet Chan. Now, to carry on with the theme and occasion, the Hololive Productions Official Store now carries (real) Super Idol ☆ Comet Chan merchandise and (fake) Motoaki “Yagoo” Tanigo merchandise. (For reference, Yagoo is the CEO of Cover, the company that owns and runs Hololive and Holostars.)

With Yagoo, the “item” was a 1:1 life-size, scale figure. It would stand at 170cm tall (5 and a half feet) tall and cost $593,622. It would have allegedly come with extra parts for posing to hold other Hololive merchandise. There would have been a Polaroid-style bromide with Yagoo’s signature. It would “ship” on  August 5, 8500.

As for the real Super Idol ☆ Comet Chan Hololive Productions Official Store merchandise, people can buy the CD single. It comes with the standard and instrumental versions of “Suichan-no-Maintenance Song” and “Kokoroui.” Orders are open until May 1, 2023, and it will ship sometime between mid-July and mid-August 2023. For $16 you get the three track CD, a “polaroid” bromide, a sticker with her logo, and a fake “Meet & Greet” ticket.

In case you missed Hoshimachi Suisei’s new song, here it is:
