Hololive Error the Game: Complete Edition has appeared on Steam, and interested players can put it in their wishlist. It will come out around Fall 2022. You will be able to play it in English and Japanese, though there will be no English audio. Only the interface and subtitles will be in English.
According to the Steam page, Hololive Error will be a psychological horror with action-adventure elements in a first-person perspective. There will be multiple endings depending on how you progress through it. The story for Hololive Error follows a journalist for an occult magazine who goes to investigate bizarre phenomenon in Aogami. The last thing he remembers is being in a hotel room before he “finds himself entangled in a terrifying paranormal phenomenon.”
The Steam page actually has no mention of Hololive at all. However, Cover has released other games in the Hololive Error universe. There has also been a manga series that delves deeper into the Error setting. This project will feature talents such as Tokino Sora, Momosuzu Nene, Aki Rosenthal, Shirakami Fubuki, Natsuiro Matsuri, and Yukihana Lamy.
There is also a free version of Hololive Error available from the Cover website. As well, you can watch videos that expound on the lore on YouTube. The Hololive Error game on Steam is the same as the one that is available on the Cover website. This means that the digital version on Steam will likely also cost 1,000 JPY (around $7.30).
Hololive Error will come out on Windows PC via Steam some time in Fall 2022.
