Mumei has been on break since December, 2023, but still took to YouTube with an unarchived karaoke stream in anticipation of reaching a million. She was singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver when she finally passed one million, after which she thanked her fans and said she was glad she could be streaming when it finally happened.

Traditionally, Hololive talents are able to make a special request from Cover CEO Motoaki “Yagoo” Tanigo when they reach one million subscribers, but it is currently unknown what Mumei will ask for. Previous wishes have included new outfits for Vtuber models and live concert events.

Cover recently unveiled new key visuals ahead of the 2024 Hololive Super Expo, featuring Vtubers from each branch of the agency. Meanwhile, Hololive JP members Houshou Marine and Shirakami Fubuki announced the end of their long running radio show.
