The Xbox page for Hollow Knight: Silksong is now live on the Microsoft Store. However, it does not yet feature a release window. [Thanks, Wario64!]
The page features plenty of screenshots showing off how the game will look, a description of it, and a link to the official Hollow Knight: Silksong website. According to Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony’s storefronts, it’ll be an action-adventure game in which you play as Hornet, who is the princess-protector of Hallownest. Hornet will be able to use new powers and fight against new enemies compared to the Knight from the first game.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2017 Hollow Knight. In Hollow Knight, players take control of the Knight, who is an insect warrior in Hallownest. In it, you can explore the underground world, encounter other insect characters, and fight against bosses. It was very popular for its art style, combat, and difficulty level, and as of February 2019, it sold over 2.8 million copies.
However, there have been many issues and delays plaguing the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Team Cherry first announced the game in 2019 and it was supposed to come out in mid-2023. In a statement from Team Cherry in May 2023, the game is still in development. There is no news as to when we can expect the game, even with the two store pages for it now live.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will come out on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X some time in the future.
