When Death Stranding makes its PC debut, it’ll come with some elements entirely new to the game. Among them is a Photo Mode that will let you pause the action and start snapping shots of memorable moments. Hideo Kojima shared a brief video just over 30 seconds long that looks at how it works and some of the different frames and effects that can be applied.
The Death Stranding Photo Mode clip begins by showing how it can be pulled up in the middle of any scene. You can then adjust the camera angle, its roll, the aperture, autofocus, exposure, contrast, color filter, filter strength, effect strength, and depth of field. Sam’s expression can be changed, as can his eyeline or pose. You could even choose to remove him from the scene entirely. A frame or logo can be applied, and the UI could be hidden.
A few of the different frames and logos are highlighted after the halfway point. Some offer a Polaroid-like frame. There is also a handprint frame that can have the image you took showing through.
These are some examples from the Photo Mode in the PC ver. We will introduce on how to create them in another video later. Me, and some staffs that loves to take photos enjoyed making this Mode! Available, June 2nd.
