In yesterday’s Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company discussed the Pokémon Bank paid service, new Mega Evolutions, and special Nintendo 3DS XL systems. However, Pokémon fansites have also picked up on something the rest of us overlooked—a new Pokémon in Pokémon X/Y.

Pictured above, the Pokémon in question reportedly appeared for a split second during the Nintendo Direct video at the 15:16 mark. The archived video on YouTube no longer appears to contain this footage, so we assume it has been edited out.

 

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are slated for worldwide release on October 12th.
