Final Fantasy XVI features quite a bit of side content, especially at the Hideaway, that you might forget about or miss. One of the simplest, optional parts of the game has to do with the Patron’s Whisper. Especially as it involves regularly stopping by Here, players can trade in Renown they’ve earned in Final Fantasy XVI for unique and typically amazing rewards.

How to get Renown for rewards in Final Fantasy XVI

Before you can ever unlock any of the Patron’s Whisper rewards above in Final Fantasy XVI, you’ll need Renown. You could think of Renown as a currency in a way, as you earn it over time through various actions. There are a couple of ways to obtain Renown, but it mainly has to do with the optional side content.

What you want to do is complete most, if not all, side quests and hunts that you come across. Many of the side quests you’ll find at the Hideaway and around Valisthea will grant you some Renown upon completion.

In addition, all hunts from the Hunt Board at the Hideaway offer a handful of Renown for defeating each target. You’ll want to complete all of these if you want to get the entire set of Patron’s Whisper rewards from Desiree.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5.
