Sony PlayStation 5

The June 2020 PlayStation 5 event ended with something people have likely been wanting since the system was announced. Sony finally revealed the PlayStation 5 console design. Not only that, but it showed that there will be two models. One is a standard system, while the other is a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with no disc drive.

First, Sony showed off the standard PlayStation 5 console design. This is a plain white system, which matches the already revealed DualSense controller. It has a disc drive in the front.

With the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, it is a system that doesn’t have a drive.

Here’s a picture of both systems next to each other.

The official Twitter account has shared a clip of the presentation, giving people a chance to see both versions of the system from different angles. If you watch the segment, you can see the USB drives shown off, with what looks like a USB-C also shown, and have a better sense of the PS5 console design’s nuances and use of color.

The PlayStation 5 will launch in 2020.
