On Honkai: Star Rail teams, Guinaifen is a four-star Fire Nihility character who excels at afflicting Burn and Firekiss onto enemies. As such, she usually fulfills the sub-DPS role in groups that she’s in.
Which teams should Guinaifen be on in Honkai: Star Rail?
Because of her nature, you want Guinaifen to be on a team with characters who can deal damage over time. While she’s a DoTs character, her ability to apply Firekiss to ensure afflicted foes take even more damage from those effects means it’ll help with that sort of bonus damage. Kafka is basically her “best” friend, though she also works well with characters like Silver Wolf and Himeko.
- Kafka | Guinaifen | Tingyun | Fu Xuan
Kafka can benefit from any character who can use DoTs. She’s able to immediately trigger DoTs with her Skill, and Guinaifen’s entire kit revolves around her Burn and Firekiss application. Tingyun serves to increase ATK (since DoTs scale off that) and give either Kafka or Guinaifen back their Ultimates. Meanwhile, Fu Xuan serves as a shielder and healer, but you can also put in a more classic healer here. - Guinaifen | Serval/Sampo | Asta | Lynx
If you don’t have Kafka, you can also use a double-DoT team. It doesn’t really matter if you use Serval or Sampo, so just choose whichever you have built. On this team, Asta will help to give those two as many turns as possible with her Speed boost, and she can also serve Break enemies to inflict Burn with her Skill. - Guinaifen | Himeko | Fire TB | Silver Wolf
This is a mono-Pyro team that has Silver Wolf in it to implant Fire Weakness, while Fire TB serves as the shielder. You can replace Himeko with Hook if you want to. If the enemy you’re going up against already has a Fire Weakness you can exploit, then you can replace Silver Wolf with Asta to focus on giving Guinaifen more turns. - Kafka | Guinaifen | Sampo | Luocha
If you’re not interested in providing buffs or debuffs, you can also try to overpower your enemies through sheer numbers. You can replace Sampo with Luka if you want to but Sampo is better than him when it comes to consistent DoT application. This team focuses mostly on applying Burn, Shock, and Wind Shear as much as possible, but since there’s no buffer or debuffer, I only recommend this if you’re confident in your team’s individual ATK stats. - Guinaifen | Bronya | Tingyun | Luocha
If you want to try and use Guinaifen as a solo DPS instead of a supporting one, you can raise her ATk using Bronya and Tingyun. Since this party will heavily drain your Skill Points, a healer like Luocha who doesn’t necessarily need to use Skill Points is preferable.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Guinaifen is always in the gacha as she is a permanent four-star character.
